A little creekside brewpub on the Southside of the smoky mountains. I genuinely felt sorry for everyone driving by. They have no idea what is coming out of this kitchen. This Thai fusion dish, Pad Kaphrao, was simply out of some other place. I don't know who the chef is, but she put something together that was unlike anything I've ever had before. Taste buds firing on all cylinders. And I ate it on a deck overlooking Maggie Creek, perfect evening, perfect setting. The weather was just... right. My wait staff was very pleasant. She suggested the protein and spice level, which was Spot on. It was a perfect "two beer" meal. I seriously dont want to eat anything else for the next hour to let this experience lock into my mind. If you drive by this place without experiencing what this chef can do, you're denying yourself an incredible meal that you won't soon forget.
Really good chicken and French dip on the river. We came on a 90 degree day and stepped area back and found ourselves in Gods air conditioning. The cool sparkling waters add to the beauty of Maggie Valley and our Smoky Mountains. Great craft beer - I had a lager and Pilsner - good times!
Food was amazing, beer was delicious, staff was friendly, and pets are accepted on the patio! The views from outside were pretty & quiet as we listened to the babbling creek and the birds
Checked out this neat little place on our way through Canton today, and we loved it! The Honeydew Wheat beer was great. I would’ve never paired those two flavors, but it works so well. We also had the Philly sandwich - awesome. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Will definitely come back our next time in the area!
We were coming out of the Smokes from looking at leaves and traffic was terrible so we took the long way home through Maggie Valley. Man I’m glad we did. This place sits right on the side of a creek. It has a great outdoor deck and sits right over the creek. They had a great cocktail selection and a menu with a wide variety of things from fresh trout to burgers to Thai. Both my wife and I had just a great meal after hiking all day. It wasn’t as expensive as you would expect. Just a great experience.
Come here if you want GOOD homemade meals - the Chef uses family recipes as well as his own creations and they will not disappoint. The Pot Roast and Blackened Cherry Pork Tenderloin are to die for!!! Can’t wait to be back.
Best kept secret in WNC - amazing and authentic Thai dishes, native-fusion pub fare, regular live piano music, creek-side al fresco dining and palate-tingling local brews! What’s not to like? Our go-to when we want a worthy meal out in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Thanks to the Bearwaters team, who keep coming back stronger than ever after each flood or hurricane, it seems!
